GOVERNOR’S MONTHLY LETTER AUGUST 2026 Hearts in Action: A Service-Driven Beginning for the Rotary Club of Holy Spirit By: TLP Salvador Joey Peralta "Creating lasting impact isn’t about grand gestures. It begins with showing up, caring deeply, and choosing to serve." For the Rotary Club of Holy Spirit, the new Rotary year didn’t begin with traditional ceremonies. Instead, it started where Rotary truly belongs: in the heart of the community. Living out our commitment to service, we celebrated the start of the year with the wonderful SNED students of Doña Juana Elementary School. Through snacks, stories, and laughter, we were reminded that simple acts of kindness brighten a child’s day. We also honored their teachers, whose unwavering dedication helps children with special needs discover their potential. That same spirit brought us to Abiertas House of Friendship to spend time with courageous young mothers, expectant moms, their children, and seniors. Along with diapers, milk, and prenatal vitamins, we shared encouragement and hope, proving that sometimes our presence is the greatest gift. Continuing our long-term mission, we also launched our feeding program in Payatas. Together with our Rotaractors, we shared nutritious meals, played games, and built lasting friendships, allowing us to monitor each child's progress toward a healthier future. As July came to a close, we realized that creating lasting impact isn't about grand gestures. It begins with showing up, caring deeply, and choosing to serve one life at a time.
